Laboratory Sales- Full or Part-time


Do you have existing physician relationships in the areas specified? (Ortho, Cardiac, OBGYN, Family/Internal Medicine, Psych, Addiction/Suboxone Clinics, HRT/Wellness Clinics, etc).

This position is responsible for building sample volumes in the assigned territory through ongoing account management and development of new customer accounts.

*A prerequisite is to have your own urine toxicology accounts first or work with Pain Management, Addiction Professionals, Wellness, and Worker’s Compensation. Additionally, we perform a broad range of blood panels, RPP, GI, Cytology, Histopathology and Allergy testing.

We offer real time billing and you will have FULL access to the billing of your accounts. No more wondering if you are going to be paid on labs you submit!!

The ideal candidate will possess a firm, but friendly personality and have contacts in the detox/rehab industry, with Internal Medicine Doctors, Orthopedics, Pain Management, and Wellness. The candidate must be adaptive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment with colleagues from diverse fields.

Essential functions:

  • Qualify existing accounts and prospects to determine insurance mix and ensure profitable revenue for the company.
  • Deliver sales goals while managing expense budgets.
  • Establish new business by leveraging existing personal contacts, cold calling, networking and following up on leads.
  • Develop customer loyalty by building strong sustainable relationships with physicians and office staff.
  • Provide regular updates to VP on prospects, pipeline and monthly volume forecasts.
  • Build commitment from physicians and staff to implement a long-term program for regular monitoring of all patients.
  • Work actively with the Customer Support Specialist for the territory to provide comprehensive professional support of all customers.
  • Gather competitor intelligence from the territory and provide information to manager and corporate executive team.
  • Facilitate physician educational programs in the territory with guidance from Marketing Director
  • Adhere to all HIPAA confidentiality requirements


  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key physicians and office staff

Required Experience:

  • Two years’ experience in medical sales as a sales support representative or sales representative.
  • Prior experience in pain management sales is desirable.
  • Demonstrated track record of continued progressive sales growth.
  • Sales performance ranking within top ten percent of sales force.
  • Strong desire and ability to lead by example.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time on accession. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion. Physical activities include frequent walking, sitting, driving, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting and squatting. Most work performed in normal doctor’s office environment or with detox/rehab homes.

Additionally, at this time there are no territory restrictions, and we are an in-network provider servicing 50 states.

Summary of Position

Under policy direction from the President/Director of Operations, and with the support of the CEO, the Client Services Liaison is responsible to assist the Director of Operations and other personnel within Lab Medical Group in managing and developing trusting relationships with all current and potential clients. In addition, this individual will be responsible for executing daily operational tasks, specimen collection, manage client billing questions/requests, and train new account personnel. Minor travel will be expected.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Previous experience or training/education working as a Client Service Liaison
  • Good understanding of the Addiction medicine field and common laboratory tests is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical insurance and HIPAA rules is a plus.
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, self-starter and “people oriented.”
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Telephone and computer skills.
  • Fluent in Word, Excel, CMR’s and EMR’s.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of staffing in a professional manner.

Physical Requirements

  • Dependable attendance is required.
  • Must be 21 years of age and have had a driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen, have a clean Ca Drivers record
  • Must hold a clean background and professional appearance.
  • Must be willing to have flexibility in schedule.
  • Adhere to appropriate dress code to include proper uniform as job requires.
  • Must be able to travel in state and nation wide to provide training and onboard new accounts.
